Thanks for joining us!

Ages 11-18 / Ski & Snowboard / Advanced & Expert Levels

The All-Mountain Freeride Team is an 8 week program designed for high level off-piste skiers and snowboarders with solid technique who want to improve their skills, mountain awareness and snow safety, airs, tricks, and have fun in an encouraging, friendly environment.  The emphasis is on shredding steep terrain with style and confidence.

What to Expect

The emphasis is on solid technique for off-piste skiing, tackling steeper terrain and challenging snow conditions. The end goal is to coach kids to be able to link turns without stopping on some of the steepest runs with solid foundational skills and technique. There will be additional emphasis on safely learning the protocol for catching air.

Our Freeride Ambassador, Ingrid Backstrom, will ski with each group at least once over the course of the 8-week program.  All of our Freeride Team Coaches, led by head Coach Chuck White, complete an intensive Freeride training program to stay current with FSIA Freeride coaching goals and the latest Freeride techniques.  Coaches reserve discretion on entrance to the program.

What to Expect

Dryland training may be required throughout the season as directed by the coaches.  Coaches reserve discretion to decide who may participate in this program.

Includes coaching at local Freeride contests of the Head Coach’s choice.  If a team member chooses not to participate in contests after the first 8 weeks of the program, there may not be coaching provided at Crystal the same weekend as a competition.
